Course Description

Please join the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) for an instructional webinar on Colorado tax credits requiring third-party CPA cost reviews. This lecture will provide an overview of the requirements for conducting agreed-upon procedures (AUPs) for the Colorado Commercial Historic Preservation Tax Credit. After completion of this brief course, attendees will be qualified to provide CPA services for Colorado developers who rehabilitate historic buildings and apply to receive tax credits.

At the conclusion of the session, attendees will be invited to be placed on a non-public facing list of CPAs who would like to perform these services. The list is only provided to those inquiring about CPA references and is not made publicly available.

Christopher Fortney joined the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) team in April of 2022. Currently he is a Senior Program Manager of Tax Credit Incentives, overseeing various tax credit programs at OEDIT. He started as a Program Analyst and primary point of contact for the Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program. He supported and drove improvements for other tax credit applications on the Salesforce platform including Employee Ownership, Advanced Industry, and Enterprise Zone. He previously spent 28 years self-employed and is a third generation Colorado native. He currently represents Arapahoe Community College at the Federal Correctional Institute of Englewood teaching economics and mathematics to inmates. He is also an avid researcher and BBQ aficionado who loves music and traveling.
